Pep Talk
The thought of creating a “book” can feel intimidating! I know this all too well. Therefore, to inspire confidence as you tackle the creation of your woman’s wisdom book, here’s a little (big) pep talk!
Very Important Point #1 Begin with the “My Wisdom, My Way” mindset.
Think of wisdom writing as simply capturing and recording your meaningful knowledge. You choose what you want to share. You choose how you want to share it. You create a vibrant showcase of your unique and varied wisdom. Your book will be a one-of-a-kind!
Very Important Point #2 Wisdom can be expressed in many different forms.
Recipes. Quotes. Sketches with a couple sentences. Poems. Powerful words. Lists. Letters. Songs. Cartoons with captions. Article excerpts. An essay. Long or short stories. A thought. A life lesson. Advice. A puzzle. A joke. A picture. A zine. Your family & friend tree with notations. Beloved verses with circled words and commentary. A little bit of everything, mixed & organized your way. There is no pressure to write only stories unless you want to!
Very Important Point #3 There is no right way or wrong way to do it.
Your book can be any length. Your book can be organized in any manner. By topics or by what you feel like writing on any given day. Don’t fret about perfect spelling & grammar. Cross-outs & crooked letters make your writing authentic. Focus on words & images that look, sound, & feel like you. Use your favorite expressions to let your personality shine through!
Believe it, now do it.
When there is no “right” way to do it, you can let go and just do it your way. You can enjoy your epic journey, one page at a time. You can focus on creating an extraordinary gift. Warning: Prepare to amaze yourself & your people when you show them your book! They will most likely cry happy tears! You will absolutely cry happy tears!
